a little /appreciation post for the 5 USDC wc rewards: canadian universal health care doesn't cover physiotherapy or osteopathy services unless you have an official diagnosis from a very specific list of diseases or disorders for folks going through the diagnostic process, which can typically take 12-18 months, we have to pay out of pocket for the PT and care that helps reduce whatever symptoms we may be experiencing. this can quickly get expensive with sessions costing ~$150 CAD each yeah i've bought a few PSLs with my rewards 👻 but i've also been able to cover this month's osteopath/PT session with them too (and avoided dipping into savings) thanks y'all :)

check this list if you want to see, most of the ones that say "$70 per visit, $500 max per CY" are all grouped together. so it's not $500 per category, it's $500 for all "alternative therapies" 😔 very misleading and pretty much useless https://www.medaviebc.ca/en/quebecplans/complete-health/module-comparison

Healthcare is obviously personal. Any help from government or employers are privileges. I hear you as I prefers specialists like gyno, derm, etc. and *make* my doctors write notes for chiro, massages, or acupuncture etc for co-pay costs.
