a little /appreciation post for the 5 USDC wc rewards: canadian universal health care doesn't cover physiotherapy or osteopathy services unless you have an official diagnosis from a very specific list of diseases or disorders for folks going through the diagnostic process, which can typically take 12-18 months, we have to pay out of pocket for the PT and care that helps reduce whatever symptoms we may be experiencing. this can quickly get expensive with sessions costing ~$150 CAD each yeah i've bought a few PSLs with my rewards 👻 but i've also been able to cover this month's osteopath/PT session with them too (and avoided dipping into savings) thanks y'all :)

CAN private healthcare 👌🏽 I know my employees in CAN and UK always ask for private.

I’ve looked into it a few times in the past private insurance is expensive here if your company isn’t providing it and usually only covers $500 total across physiotherapy, naturopathy, osteopathy, acupuncture, etc 🥲 I’d be paying over $1,000 per year extra and would only get 3 sessions out of it and still have a copay of 20-25% of the total cost for each session tldr; I’d pay more for private insurance and get less out of it than if I just do out of pocket
