Wave a magic wand and assume DCs are integrated and work well (both non-trivial), you still need a differentiated feature.

100% you do, but that's not the main point here right now - even if your app had a differentiating feature - all users would be forced back to warpcast for private comms that makes it extremely difficult to retain daily users bc a large driver of churn is entirely out of alt clients' hands
