Part of the promise of web3 is "creator rewards". Jools Lebron will make some money from platform expansion following "demure + mindful". Small brand deals and probably merch. Merch is sort of Web2's answer to creator rewards now that I think about it. Hawk Tuah merch. That kind of stuff. Not everything is merch-able though. If we get way better at creator rewards what kind of negative behaviors might get incentivized? I guess going viral is already a goal for most creators. Will it get worse? What impact will that have on what is created?

Creator rewards make sense at scale. That is, when you have a super large following. Ex: rodeo club 25 cent mints. So you'll still have merch until these platforms get really big. Plus merch can be cool.

The negative behaviors are already here and hindering discoverability for creators like Jools. Platforms want them when they are big but make sure they have to work a lot harder to get big. The algorithm encourages safe and bland until “hot” is provably profitable https://warpcast.com/trish/0x6c888a5a
