Berachain! Did you ever hear about them or watched a interview with the founders? It's quite an experience. Long story short they started with Bong Bears NFT collection as a meme-inspired NFT series that attracted OG DeFi enthusiasts. This led to a highly engaged community of DeFi users who began discussing challenges in the ecosystem, such as liquidity fragmentation and governance issues. Building on insights from this community, the team introduced Berachain, a Layer-1 blockchain that uses Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) consensus. This growth hack, starting with a lighthearted NFT project to attract a niche community and then creating a blockchain tailored to its needs, is a weird for sure but interesting example of turning community-driven insights into a scalable product.
