I'd argue that all nodejs servers for more than just a toy app are a sin. (Even though I work on one lol)

Bun seems like a promising solution for folks that want to stay in JS/TS land. I'd still chose something else though.

websockets generally are just cursed and single threaded event loop sucks if youre handling even just a few hundred *active* ws connections sending messages 1-2 per second per client

bun is an improvement for sure but most of its improvements are still better for either low-data transmission or low # of active ws connections at a given time
