@hyle suggested I post this here: I did an extreme deep dive into the DEGEN Tips allowance algorithm, and wrote up an FAQ. There's even a simulation on Desmos with all the equations loaded. Some surprises: you can overtip 3%, there's an age boost, cast count matters! https://paragraph.xyz/@rjs/degen-tips-ultimate-faq

did you find that there is an issue where the posts are grouped by the day someone liked them, instead of the day posts are made? So when someone likes your old post, it surfaces it as a new post with 1 like? I think that is what's happening...

Good catch, this is a fascinating implication of the way the formula works -- yes, it looks at the reaction timestamp, not your cast's timestamp!

IMO this is a big, cus you can nuke someone else’s allocation by liking old posts

It's an interesting thought, I will add it to my list of things to investigate and see if this actually happens

I was suspicious when we got 20k+ likes in one day for Rainbow and it only put us at #60 or so, when I looked into the dune query, I saw a bunch of likes from 3-6 month old posts were being resurfaced as 1-2 like posts. dragging down our overall ranking
