like a cancer* the body has homeostasis and has states of being downregulated where growth slows to make room for other functions uncontrolled growth is generally not good for health or survival

out govt is supposed to be homeostatic, but it has ossified with age and cannot regulate effectively. now we’re in the “aggressive chemo” stage.
