As someone very active in the @base and Clanker ecosystems, I wanted to say a few words about today’s drama.

First of all, as many have said before, this team is extremely cracked. @dish is an amazing dev and an even better person. @btayengco, @m00npapi.eth, @fffflood, @lobstermindset.eth — legends, all.

The fact that they’ve trauma-bonded and pulled together to move forward in this moment when the temptation could be to cut and run is, in my view, very long-term bullish.

There will obviously be uncertainty and volatility, as with anything of this nature, but I don’t doubt the team will continue to ship and support the ecosystem they’ve helped build.

love the nuanced take. i woke up wanting to write something like this but you beat me to it and said it better. humans are complex! we contain multitudes.

one question that remains in my mind -- whats next? like, @proxystudio.eth could just disappear from FC and crypto, and thats the easier move. or he could work to come clean and regain trust and become more fully himself: a person who did a lot of harm and also a lot of good to so many in this community

do we here on FC feel there's possibility for redemption? what does that path look like?

I like what @toadyhawk.eth said a lot too. I’ve had the same type of interactions with proxy - always supported me and /humankind, even gave me 0.1 ETH for FarCandles 2. Stealing is obviously not okay 

I think for him to recover from this he just needs to fully doxx himself and let his current work speak for itself. Yes he’ll have a stain on his background but people will know and they can make more informed choices about working with him. He did return the money in the end so there is some conscientiousness.
