I'm skeptical whenever someone's words affect market movements or narratives (and even more skeptical when market movements affect someone's words). So I don't think this is something to get excited about by any means, he's doing it in self-interest as you pointed out. 1/n

At the same time though, I don't think it's cause for concern. It looks like the beginning of a natural bull market progression and he is positioning himself to profit from it. Unless there's a concern they'll take over enough validators to control one or more chains, I think it's relatively harmless long-term. 2/n

I don't think he has any interest in that, he just wants profits. If we are entering a bull market BlackRock will probably profit at the expense of some unfortunate people they leave holding the bag, but that won't affect the core builders who work in crypto regardless of the current narrative 3/n
