im not sure anyone is acting like its guaranteed to succeed, i think people are aware it's still so small and a lot of progress needs to be made to grow into that valuation

always a good counterpoint to have. part of me is weighing localized channel-clients & wondering how the network/merkle demonstrates the market. fwiw the capital & the platform still feel unexplored.

Any time a new VC puts money in, I worry about the growing pressure to extract value from the protocol with various rent seeking hooks or otherwise. Enshitification seems to be an inevitable symptom of how modern companies get built. As cool as all these things start out, once the extractions begin, things get shitty.
