Has anyone deployed a production Next app to AWS or another provider besides Vercel? What was the experience like?

Very easy on Railway

Next is ultimately just a server so its pretty straightforward

Do you know what they use under the hood? Just AWS Amplify? Not a fan of railway's product

Railway is incredibly buggy and I've had some high severity issues because of it, would rather just learn AWS and sleep easy at night

I believe they have a custom container orchestration system, built on GCP and transitioning to bare metal.

So if you run a nextjs app on railway, it's a containerized Node.js process with very little magic.
