Proofs ontop of https APIs. I can let you prove you have at least 5k in your bank, and data came from api.chase.com No changes required on chases servers

It’s a lot harder than it sounds. Https uses TLS for security, the idea is to piggyback off of that. /opacity Were the reason it blew up recently :)

This might be a dumb question, but is it possible to verify these proofs on-chain so they can be used as a smart account signer?

Yes! Best approach is to use a web2 account proof to add a normal key to the smart account. Verifying ZKPs is expensive so you should minimize doing it. You can even counterfactually deploy a wallet for someone else, send money to it, and it’s sitting there waiting for them
