This week I built IPDB, a decentralized database concept using Base, IPFS, and PGlite. It takes a local database using PGlite, uploads backups to IPFS, and maintains state using smart contracts on Base. Would love to hear what people think! https://bit.ly/3Bwouwb

This is really cool. Is it practical to download and store the entire db like this for real apps?

It might depend on the use case, but that generally how PGlite is building itself out to work with ElectricsSQL: have a lightweight local db that syncs with a cloud db https://electric-sql.com/use-cases/state-transfer
