app-specific wallets definitely improve the UX of that specific app, but hurt the ecosystem at large IMO

I'd say it's quite common to touch multiple apps while signing into a web2 service - like Google Authenticator for 2FA code, or approving Gmail sign in from the Gmail app

More recently I wonder if most transactions will come from built-in wallets and your self-custodial will be more like your checking account. 

Using 2-3 separate apps and signing and approving transactions doesn’t feel magical. I don’t think regular people from midwest will do this 😭
