My initial answer was Trump but starting to have second thoughts thinking this may be my biased view of the world. This image is from the book Factfulness by Hans Rosling. Each figure represents 1 billion people. Are we sure Xi Xingping isn't known more worldwide than Trump?

kim kardashian > taylor swift. true just based on social media stats, but kim is armenian, has intl business ventures, + married to kanye. alive today i would go out on a limb and say the pope given how recognizable the papal regalia is and how widespread christianity still is beyond the US.
