Maybe a social network at scale just can’t work in the world of bots & the belief that personal success comes from having engagement & a following The latter drowns out the interesting discourse people have when a platform is small. It’s not nasty like Twitter, it’s just really dull.

I was listening to an interview with one of the first women in MI6. Made me think of all the other women who just got 'did the work' of change in their industries with no Linkedin or Podcasts to tell everyone, no 'trailbazer' awards...a lot of 60+ who's work is evident but never got the credit.

Seems odd to me that an entire bridge collapsed with people killed but I’ve seen no mention of it here. Or not odd but def symbolic of what is and is not WC worthy / discourse. Eg not one off current events or events unrelated to innovation ?

GenX clubbing regrets : The really great ecstasy was before my time and Avicii came after I was done. Being in the time of Faithless and The Fridge in Brixton almost makes up for it tho. Anyone else remember the day of sneaking 💊 in in your bra??

Consumer crypto like any other consumer product needs to be obsessed with the consumer. I see no talk of the consumer problem, consumer research, consumer behavior, measuring new consumers being onboarded...yet when the chance at /brandnew to learn from consumer goods experts came, the room was barely half full.
