also a lot of these tv OSes are privacy nightmares. apple tv is pretty good about that, and is also fast and error free, and has the usual apple universe benefits

Would vouch for an Apple TV puck over the built in version as well. However, I'd also say the Roku sticks are a good (and more cost effective) alternative as well
