Try the meta glasses if you get a chance. They have the *best* mic for calls I've ever used.

yea most of the time i have to take them off and use regular mic, but then the phone randomly connects to the airpods in my pocket 😭

Switched to air pod max’s. Big fan, noise cancellation is fantastic, and mic has been perfect for me.

I think that Pro is also not very good. At home for calls I use a cheap $5 lav mic and Airpods Pro for output. Analog mic makes a big difference.
