Looks great! I’d bake a bit longer though, until medium or dark brown. You’re missing a bunch of flavor!

Ty! I find myself baking for longer than most recipes suggest (30 min lid on, ~40 min lid off at 450°) but it's still pretty light so idk what's happening lol guessing my oven's thermometer is slightly off, I'll try cranking it a bit higher next time

Yeah that sounds like the actual temp is lower than the setting. Or you aren’t preheating with the Dutch oven long enough - give it 30-60 mins there at full temp to preheat.

I def let it preheat for at least 45 mins 🤔 going to crank it to 500° next time and see what happens

For context, I usually have mine in Dutch oven for 30 mins then lid off for 10-20 but almost never more than that. When I take the lid off, the crust is showing a tiny bit of golden. I bake for 10 more mins then, if it’s not dark enough, keep checking every few mins until the crust is the color I want.
