If I’m understanding it all correctly, unless there is some type of token gating (nft, hypersub, fan token, etc) that a bot could approve requests via a frame, members would have to all be invited manually by a mod? If so, wouldn’t that be a lot of work for extremely active channels especially as Warpcast continues to grow?

Most people don’t cast in channels. So following a channel works well. For the smaller number of people casting channels, a combination of multiple moderators and automated tools can help it scale.

Interesting perspective. I cast in channels 99.9% of the time. It actually feels weird to not cast in a channel for me lol. I think most of the people I engage with mainly cast in channels as well. But I guess it’s probably because I engage with them in those channels.

Most likely because all of us want to grow on Farcaster. It’s much harder to grow if you’re casting in no channel to no followers haha. Easier if you already have a following. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am now if I didn’t find communities I enjoyed and made friends. I think channels are super important for Farcasters growth and I hope this change is a good one 🤞🏼
