The executive by LAX is a dog track but it has lights and you can play at night. We would get lit and play it every weekend once the sun went down. I was poor when I lived there so didn’t play many good courses. All the courses near us were private

All the good ones are private in LA proper. 

If you don’t mind driving a little:

1) Rustic Canyon
2) Goose Creek (figured you would like the name) 
3) Moorpark CC
