post-reading jonathan haidt, time to play devil's advocate current web2 social: like/reply-performance algo -> increased unhealthy social comparison -> increased anxiety, polarization, depression the core design elements of most web3 social is $, which can bring out even worse in people and this is good? discuss :)

This is a wonderful point. Web2 apps always start out innocently, then eventually folks figure out how to monetize. We are going *straight* to the monetization on web3. I still feel like there is quite a bit of friction to make real money as a web3 influencer without a background in web3.

I can see this as being a big learning curve for many folks already monetizing web2 social. Is this a legit concern? How are we going to get grandma off Facebook and into web3, or gen z to tear away from the easy dopamine that is tiktok? There is way more friction and less dopamine in the early stages of using web3.
