have we decided who this is? just lmk. They need to accept my invitation to join /nouns-gifs for me to give them the group They can also just start running it but I understand wanting to "own" the channel to be more invested in it.

I dont think so yet unless someone is banging down the door. I kinda wish @goldy had more bandwidth. I think he came up with this genre and has created some of the best.

ive been thinking about how i can justify prioritising making these again. what do we have in mind here with a channel & rounds idea? Is it just setting themes and picking winners? What else is there? I'd love to make it work but maybe i'd need help.... @tummlin any interest? @fattybuthappy would be glad to maybe collab?

Maybe the goal is to nounify one vertical every 2 weeks. The content can be original but better if it builds on existing memes or known imagery. Participants must submit to giphy with appropriate tags to be considered eligible. Emphasis on high quality work not just throw noggles on it.

I think different content themes sounds good, also search term themes would be useful to get higher usage. the problem with the latter part is you have to get an approved creator account on giphy to have your gifs publically searchable. i dont think individuals can all upload like that. would be happy to upload all good entries to the nounish account to start with. or we can try to create a new nouns-gifs account for this purpose, it will be slower to get going (because you need some proof of existence to get it approved) but it should be possible.
