X post from @flynn.eth, who may know more about airdrops than anyone else in the space. change my mind: current one-click mint frames are just airdrops, not value drivers. their distribution is just another flavor of TVL, not LTV. and if airdrops don’t “work”, why should we expect one-click mint frames to?

i agree here esp. those designed on a bad mechanism re distro or tokenomics. yet, STRK is IMHO was a nice signal to the entire ecosystem for prioritising devs & the like. @tim's read on @protocolguild pledges offer a view on potential of native tokens https://warpcast.com/tim/0x3dfcdd41

indeed protocols can bootstrap tokens without airdropping but we would have self-forming actions like OP retro fundings etc. at this scale. At the end of the decade or so, it will be optimized when it comes to airdrops, imho.
