tbh, there are a few occasionally active users. in such an ambivalent platform economy, i need to echo even when seemingly unnecessary. i tried those types of regimes, too—pings used to exist then, too, the channel is almost a year old and it's hard to retain. otherwise i'd be alright just to delve into pre-socratics with a few souls around the entire day.

yup, if your social score does not have a 6-figurish tag in the eyes of even the most refined and cultivated around here, there is a lil chance your circle gonna move up.

Announcements do have a pretty big blast radius - kind of similar to in-app push notifications. 

Personally prefer if there is a higher bar than just that to use it.
