Thanks, guys, for this conversation :D. It’s such an interesting topic and a transition time that we are living through. Furthermore, I like how people still challenge the industry and push it forward, sometimes small moves by the same old dinosaurs but other times by new forces: MP3s, virgin CDs, NFTs, closed catalogues, mixtapes, B-sides, suitcases with illegal vinyls, block parties, illegal parties, countercultural festivals...
I believe that there are subterfuges for every kind of artist. Maybe Rihanna or Taylor Swift at this stage are not thinking about 'low-scope-high-ownership' formats, but the great thing is that there are tons of formats and marketing strategies for every artist. 2 replies
