Dear runners, What’s your runner story? Why are you running? What are you running towards? (Who/what are you running from?!)

started running when i was 14 because i was shit at soccer and baseball but still wanted to do a sport in high school, but was shit at running too so was made to run the longer events which was anything over 400m for whatever reason though i didn't stop and got to be semi-competitive, particularly over longer distances, and continued to run at university and as a weekend warrior started running much less after getting married and having kids, but still like to go out and jog (and dream about making comebacks) as i have no other athletic ability 😂

I started running in 2013. it was around the time we were searching to have our first child. I still remember the stress-relieving sensation it gave me running all-out after we had our first miscarriage... 😢 our first kid arrived in 2015 and I reduced my running mileage a bit, but being fit and able to play with a toddler was amazing. the second kid arrived in 2018 and reduced a bit more my mileage, then covid hit hard in 2020 and I stopped running. I restarted in 2022 and now I'm in better shape than in 2013/2014. being the fitter dad in my kids class give my very positive vibes. 😉 I'm endorphins addicted and I use running as relief valve for all the negative situation life is giving us.

I got started in 2020! I was stir crazy in the city, but also the summer in NYC that year was buzzy, and I was dating a runner, so I started to get into it with him. But I prefer to run on my own with music! Have recently been running to failure to Taylor Swift albums (haven’t been able to make it through an entire album yet lololol but it’s so fun to run to) Always thought was a hater, but the right ingredients aligned. I fell out of it after I ran a half marathon in 2022, but getting back into it 🫶
