Still? But maybe. I see useful use-cases for blockchain tech, but for gambling it's not needed at all. So in regard of music and related things? Uniqueness, verifiability of ownership were and are still useful. Does it need a wallet? Maybe not, but they exist and so it can be simpler than account abstraction or custom apps. But i think it's fair to say that 'web3' music platforms didn't succeed that much and there are no new ideas. Idk it, but are currently existing platforms sustainable for several years? Or will most or all disappear in say 1-2 years? NFTs are not an end in themselves, though.

i was, sporadically at least, more active again on Warpcast for 1 month, but in the end there was little interesting posts. Lot's of what i consider "engagement posts". And marketing posts. Using X will probably be not worse for all content that is posted on warpcast ? But idk

Hm πŸ€”. I read that Tiktok introduces online store functions in more and more countries. And that it's used. In contrast I doubt a bit that so called crypto natives rly exist. Or the number maybe is too small to bother? Warpcast is a case in point maybe in regard of few users? And it *has* a use as a message or social media app, but it obvi. suffers from "-" network effects.

no i only meant that there probably exist 1000s of Openzeppelin variants. Different versions. The decentralization creates some inefficiencies. As i understand it Solana might need no etherscan, because it's mostly a few central contract logic for NFT. And i think expensive to deploy so a high bar for new deployments. So EVM has great flexibility for building, but a central verification is still convenient. Long story short i see no issue with Etherscan because alternatives exist and new could exist. Still convenience or maybe perf of APIs might favor the largest offer. But it's not a monopoly.

ah yes, lol. There is one thing i doubt with it: not all contracts are permanent which means they get updates or become obsolete. With ipfs storage that means there is a lot of history quickly. Also useful, but less so. Contract sizes are usually small ofc, but there is a lot of duplication with EVM contacts. I assume most contracts aren't used any more.

verification is free, though? And in principle anyone could repeat the verification. But there is at least one alternative (i forgot the name).

not sure if i'd ever consider prompting fun. But i disliked the Ableton Live UI so i'm not a user and maybe Live is better with it πŸ˜‚

"400,000 monthly listeners would be in the top 29,000 artists on Spotify globally" afaik major labels, at least with one of their many sub-labels, should be interested, because i guess > 50% of these artists have or had a major label contract ? But why would you want to for hume artists?

if a social media post asks a question, but no one rly cares about the answer or the answer is totally obvious? These are called engagement posts. One can also call them useless noise. It makes up a great percentage of all posts on social media, though.

The 1/1 only strategy with often very high prices of the beta catalog made no sense for me. And it probably didn't worked, because it was shut down ? Nothing against 1/1 ofc, it depends. The current page is invite-only like the previous. Idk the reason for this, but the question is obviously if it would scale in the sense that it has more users than artists. A website for a single label might have a place ofc, but it's unlikely to be very important for many artists and also many listeners not directed to it by the platforms artist ? Not to talk it down, it looks nice especially compared to many other previous dapps, but each new platform i think should have a reason why it's better than bandcamp etc. I don't see it here. Did i miss something ?

thx, not cheap, but interesting because while i'm aware of influencer campaign idk how to find one and especially who to trust with such. But I experimented with various promo tools recently. Like Insta Ads. I think it confirmed my view, that all "online" promo is awfully inefficient. What i always thought: It's impossible to compete with major labels or big artists, unless one could target an audience very narrowly *and* be pretty sure that audience is interested. Interested beyond a 1-time click that is. Or have popular enough song ofc πŸ˜‚

there are a lot of platforms, why you use some and some not? I won't use it, because i don't even use e.g. Audiomack. A pretty large platform afaik.
