Don’t know what I’m looking at, but I know I want to eat it!!

French pastry derived from Bordeaux. Has a hard exterior that is made from clarifies butter and beeswax. Inside is soft, batter made from flour, sugar, butter, egg, rum, and vanilla.

Agreed, it can be very hot, painful, and every recipe does require a few trials before getting adjusted to your oven. It was fun and a great learning experience

I love canales 🥹 but those tins, the beeswax, I feel it's a bit complex to make just once & idk if I'll want to make them all the time either.
