Checkout industries like media, auto, real estate, and finance. This is the first time I’ve ever heard someone describe Singapore as light on regulation. Generally, the pros are efficient bureaucracy with business-friendly tax policies—with strict regulations.

seems unfair to boil this down to just "regulation vs freedom", there's a billion other factors... singapore is a very young country, born out of unique circumstances, and with a global trade advantage (the strait) that is definitely a large factor in its growth. not really a 1:1 comparison vs the other 3.

Ireland's GDP per capita is incredibly high. However, I don't see their people living way better than the British or the French. So while GDP per capita is an important figure, I am not sure we can say that figure represents people quality of living.
