tailscale if you're not using it you're possibly ngmi I started using it simply as a free ngrok alternative with `tailscale funnel localhost:3000` slowly and organically it's taken over a bunch of different tools and services

I went through the pain of setting up wireguard on my opnsense and was thinking I should switch to tail scale, but it somehow seemed even more convoluted. How are you using it for other services, locally hosted and tail scale directly set up on the server? And what does the url look like for the funnel?

funnel url <machine-name>.<random-phrase>.ts.net that probably tells you how far I've gotten (still getting started) my journey so far is: installed iOS app, installed macOS app, installed NixOS service, connected all to my free tailscale account, and used funnels a bunch. Nothing yet beyond that

It’s quite powerful to run on a router; gives you full access to your home network via VPN with a single tunnel. cc @matthewmorek who I think has a setup like this
