whenever I see people praise kanye i feel like i'm taking crazy pills. "Well, I see good things about Hitler also" "We’ve got to stop dissing the Nazis all the time" it's fascinating where society draws the line. being pro nazi is no longer a deal breaker for a disturbingly large number of people.

What I commonly see missing in critiques like these is the simple fact that Kanye is bipolar and refuses to take his meds...NOTHING he says should be taken seriously and yet takes like this are prevalent. Objectively, he hasn't been right since his mother passed.

It's easy to dunk on a crazy person saying crazy shit. I think a better critique would be, "Why is he surrounded by yes wo/men?"

His enablers are exactly who I’m talking about. Without fan support, he wouldn’t have collaborators, biz relationships, etc.

I think a fair number of his fans are OGs. That is, were fans from the beginning, before the Kardashians and Trump-loving antics. This new generation of fans are drawn to anarchy and self-destructive behavior (see: housewives shows). The media also legitimizes his bullshit because clicks. It’s a shit cycle.
