Doctors are held fiscally responsible for malpractice. Why isn’t the same true for police? If it was, they would need insurance which would mean the market would sniff out the bad apples. Taxpayers wouldn’t pay settlements for bad cops. Cops would be more respected. Everyone wins.

Many doctors are asking their patients to sign a waiver before they will administer certain procedures removing them from liability . But I get your overall point

Doctors are technically a human rights topic; cops or “law” enforcement has always protected “private” entities, corporations and banks, some of that applies to you as a Tax payer some of it doesn’t unless you’re an important business owner or government official.
