What is important in a startup that most people ignore? - working with people that want it as much as you do - making money, if you make money you extend the number of at bats to find the 1000x What do people focus on a lot, but actually isn't that important? - raising money - press releases - going to conferences

Not important but common: - holding on to ideas & products that aren't working out (sunk-cost fallacy) - focus on quantity of work (e.g. hours put in) rather than quality - trying to keep up appearance for the outside world (ego issues) instead of focusing inward - not recognizing your own weaknesses and strengths
