Before Spotify took control of playlist curation, the major record labels were actively launching their own playlist brands:

- Digster (Universal)
- Topsify (Warner)
- Filtr (Sony)

Anyone remember using any of these?

Smart! Music is a great way for brands to connect with audiences. Apple’s done a really good job with it, but I think any brand can make it work to some extent

There were also companies specialising in playlisting for "brand voice." Thought that was an oddly specific vertical but they did host some sick parties
