How do you distinguish between real product-market fit and artificially inflated traction? What are the usual signs that give it away for you?

Yea, especially if it grows organically, but I suspect some startups have found ways to inflate revenues as well. Especially in web3 where you see protocols offering unsustainable incentives and bots gaming systems while boosting revenue

i guess any sudden peaks in traction is a red flag + just dive deeper into having conversations with users
