Maybe the bar was set too high after Redbone and This Is America. Could by why he is deciding to put an end to the alter ego. I personally like a bunch of songs on the album and the wide range of musical styles he showcases on it but it does feel like it was kind of randomly thrown together

Overwhelmingly meh IMO. Whole album rollout has felt super forced and unauthentic.

As I was listening to this with my daughter, when "Got To Be" came on and I heard the "Smack My Bitch Up" sample, I had to pause the song to put that one on for her. She wasn't havin it though and made me put the CG album back on.

Def taking shots at Drake and Budden on this one. The sax near the end is such a nice touch. He also went at Drake on Yoshinoya and I hate to say that I actually like this track a lot 😂
