Warpcast's spam problem is out of control. It's far worse than Twitter, making it difficult to justify building anything on Farcaster. Will give priority mode another try, but that just hides the problem.

Yeah, I hadn't paid attention, so I was in priority mode. There is some crap in the replies, indeed. Should be fixed. For me, though, it's still not as bad as Twitter, where spam is not the only issue.

You can't moderate channels without solving this issue. The only thing you can do is token-gate everything, defeating the purpose of an open protocol.

Yes, moderation is an issue. I'm very happy that @scottrepreneur.eth stepped up to help us out in /f1 . It's still nice there. Only some AI content spammers.

Using moderators via @automod is pretty slick. + allow posts from people followed by any of the mods

Allowing only posts from users followed by any of the mods is not a good solution and it's not how you build a community. The spam problem will not go away no matter how many automod rules you throw at it.

Manual curation is still available on top of this default rule set. Maybe I missed your proposed fix.

I have been doing manual curation for one week now on /music and feel extremely discouraged to find the good casts among all the spam inside the unfiltered feed. No way mods are gona put all that work in for free.

This is another tooling problem that likely can be solved. The general rule (power badge or followed by mod or/+ /bot-or-not) gets you 80+% of the way there. Another optimized tool can help surface the last 20% of good casts for manual curation. Definitely appreciate the challenge this presents for potential mods.
