Audiophiles: how is the market for quality sound systems doing? Do people still buy living room amp/speaker systems and attach to TVs? Feels like everyone just gives up and uses headphones or simple built-in speakers on TVs/computers/phones these days. And afaik speaker tech hasn’t gotten much smaller physically.

Have been using the same KRK Rokit 5 monitors for 10+ years and I’m shocked at how perfect they still sound to me. If these died today, I’d probably buy the same ones. I enjoy using them with PCs + laptops. 

My experience with headphones has been the complete opposite. They break or wear out very fast.
