also kinda bummed people are defaulting to the “are you surprised?” or “this is what people voted for” when that doesn’t answer the question of why, like what’s the actual rationale for this

that’s why I added asking genuinely bc it wasn’t super clear to me from your cast!

the mismatch here is that it seems “obvious” that a party that has stated many times its intentions to dismantle federal bodies that it is doing that, so there isn’t an incongruence there 

but what am i missing?

i’m not saying it isn’t obvious or expected, i’m asking why

park rangers are made up of more probationary and short-term employees who work during busy seasons, so sadly they are the easiest to cut

Ted, did you read the Project 2025 stuff? It was 900 pages but it did outline the intent and rational of the decisions we're seeing now.
