Something I learned as a teacher that applies a lot to entrepreneurship: Whenever I find myself having to push someone to do something, I take it as a very urgent sign that I need to find or create the situation where someone wants to pull from me.

That insight is powerful. I bet you were a really great teacher with that perspective! What did you teach?

When I was in grad school I was mostly teaching ancient Greek thought – language, philosophy, and some mathematics. I then did started and ran a few education businesses. Along this way I was doing some teaching of nearly all K-12 subjects for all ages. But my real love is reading groups that I ran/run. Mostly about Homer, Plato, Aristotle, and Shakespeare. I can't quite call it teaching – more learning how to be taught. But it's the best.
