I usually like to try local foods and find ways to immerse myself in the local culture a bit

Hey! I’m from Sao Paolo but I’ve been away for 8 years so not really sure about the newest thing, but can def ask my friends/family. Here’s some stuff I still did last time I visited in 2023: — Centro de Tradição Nordestina: an awesome place to experience Northeastern culture, but in Sao Paolo. Amazing food. Go for “Baião de Dois” (my family was having that this weekend when I called for my mom’s birthday) — Liberdade: largest japanese community outside of Japan. Try going on the weekend as there’s a street food market (we used to go as kids) but otherwise loads of great food — Pinheiros: a ton of restaurants and bars, from all kinds. — Mooca: italian neighborhood. There’s still a lot of good traditional places to eat. — if you’re into meat: eat coxinha; go to a ‘rodizio’ (all you can eat), either for churrasco (barbecue), pizza etc; have a Sao Paolo hot dog; enjoy a ‘boteco’ :) Have a nice time!
