People are going to get very creative.

any future for gated channels where casts are private at the protocol level?

direct casts is one option, but has a number of ux drawbacks

You could build a client that encrypts cast content and decrypts it within your client.

Couldn’t you just see the public casts in another client though?

If casts don’t have the ability to be private at the protocol level then it doesn’t matter if a specific client encrypts them when others don’t. Right? Or am i misunderstanding?

casts would be encrypted in a client before sent to the protocol 

only client with the right access could decrypt them
