Corollary: exponential growth or no growth Linear growth doesn’t work for vc funded startups Whether this is *good* is another question altogether but if you’re opting into the game, then you’re giving yourself a time horizon and the market better be pulling a product from you before you reach the horizon

Curious your thoughts on this which is basically the counter-argument to this sentiment https://x.com/andrewchen/status/1884292311947051309

The counterpoint can be summarized as: "If you generalize this rule more fully, you realize that traction works on an “Easy come, Easy go” basis. If users come slowly, and an audience is built over time, they are will have high retention. But when they come quickly and all at once, they will leave quickly too." I agree with this and don't see this as a counterpoint as much as the word "growth" being defined poorly -- impressions without retention is not growth If you have a superlinear growth curve but not exponential, then you just need more capital to last until the accretion becomes a juggernaut https://warpcast.com/androidsixteen.eth/0x983e819c
