Recently picked up an Eleiko IWF 20kg bar. Is there any more refined object in the history of design? Up there with Braun hifi systems, OG ipod, Porsche 911.

It’s really the safety of the whole thing that amazes me. Remove the inertia of the bar via needle bearings and then weightlifting becomes 10x safer. Drop a 100kg bar from above, and so long as it doesn’t land directly on the crown of your head, you’re 100% ok.
