Is there an area of software development that you have no experience with and you'll likely won't ever touch but you're very curious about? For me it's game dev. I played around with graphics such as OpenGL and 2D sprite animations early when I was learning to code but that's about it.

Also game dev for me. Seems so creative, a mix of applied physics and math and I love how there’s a culture of doing lots with very little.

Data center cabling; like none of this exists without it but I have zero interest in doing it myself

Definitely networking / pentesting. Always been fascinated with security and vulnerabilities but will never have the time to take all those Cisco certifications lol 😂 Will live vicariously though Darknet Diaries 😎

Same. Also anything around compilers/query planners.

I recommend learning Godot and GDScript, I have no intentions of ever building a full game, but learning Godot has been a lot of fun. And who knows maybe one day an experiment turns into a game.

ASIC instructions or other chip level code... Love reading about it, not exactly something I'll get to try
