Favorite takeaway from yesterday's @a16zcrypto CSX talk with @cdixon.eth @jasonr was the reminder that communities are the most powerful force. - The moat is your community - You need 1K super fired about contributing - Surprising how small of a community you need (Wiki 20K) https://kk.org/thetechnium/1000-true-fans/

Interesting since I just recently got very different signals from VCs about focusing on community.

What else would they rather you focus on?

Oh I guess I misread your cast. The feedback was re building for communities as opposed to building your own communities around your product. Although I'm building for nouns (to start). I've been there since the beginning so I consider it my community (no one owns it).

Concerns are: - building for a community such as nouns won't scale to other communities (overfitting). - changing community's default behavior (i.e. using warpcast, x) is very hard. - interesting but too early (just have vision and early prototype).
