api keys are ancient. but is what comes next any better? 

we're in the era of vibe coding—ai agents, automation, and orchestration make dev seamless. but third-order thinking asks: are we solving security + efficiency, or just shifting failure points elsewhere?
🔹 agent-based auth → smooth UX, but creates centralized failure points
🔹 ephemeral creds → eliminates static keys, but increases infra overhead
🔹 zero-config orchestration → effortless apis, but makes systems opaque & harder to debug
third-order thinking → every solution creates new risks.

when these systems scale, do they break better or just differently?

vibe coding needs real safeguards. how do we build for trust, security, and scale—without repeating past mistakes?
