The most frustrating thing about the Kindle is it's a niche business for Amazon—and the publishers are not tech companies and conservative—so innovation is so much slower than it could be ifKindle was an independent company (like Daylight) with a federal law that would require portability of e-books across platforms (sort of like phone number portability).

I'd be so excited and screaming "finally" by all these Kindle announcements but I couldn't care less since I'm waiting for my Daylight to arrive.
